Deep. Loud. And immersive, too. SoundLink Revolve II is a portable wireless speaker from Bose that’s engineered to deliver true 360° sound for consistent, uniform coverage. Place it in the center of the room to give everyone the same experience. Or set it near a wall and sound will radiate and reflect around the room, immersing you in that same feeling you felt at your favorite show. The tapered cylindrical shape makes this Bluetooth speaker easy to grab and go. Its durable aluminum body provides worry-free protection, and its water- and dust-resistant design (IP55 rating) lets you keep the party going, even if it gets splashed by the pool. The rechargeable, lithium-ion battery plays up to 13 hours — for full-day listening. Voice prompts talk you through wireless Bluetooth pairing, and you can easily take calls with the built-in speakerphone. You can even access your device’s default voice assistant right from your speaker. Connect the speaker to an Amazon Alexa-enabled device, like the Echo Dot, for even more control. Pair two SoundLink Revolve speakers in Party Mode for more performance. Try Stereo Mode where instruments and vocals will naturally separate and spread across an immersive soundstage — making your music sound and feel as you know it should. Bose SimpleSync technology lets you pair the Bluetooth speaker with a member of the Bose Smart Family to play in sync. The Bose Connect app helps you manage your devices, unlock features, and access future updates. You can easily charge the speaker via Micro-B USB port. And the auxiliary input allows you to connect to other audio sources. This mobile speaker is available in Triple Black or Luxe Silver. Included: SoundLink Revolve II Bluetooth speaker; USB cable; wall charger.

In a world of lots of speakers few still stand out like this one! It has sound quality that fills a room, as if your favorite band was serenading you! You can really here the subtleties of each instrument. Another neat feature is that you don’t have to face it in any particular direction. 360 sound means 360! The same great sound is in every direction. That is what is truly incredible about this speaker. In addition, it has a built in mic for calls and enabling the linked devices, like Alexa. The 13 hour battery life is super cool too!

Trust you found this review honest and helpful:-)

This speaker stands 6” tall and the base is 3.25” across. It has a weight of 1#, 7.5oz. There is a silicone ring on the bottom to keep it from sliding around. There’s a silicone ring around the top as well.

This indeed has 360Вє sound. I was thinking it might just be four speakers, one on each side, but it’s not. Very easy to connect and operate. Micro cord included for charging. AC adapter not included. You can attach it to a tripod on the bottom.

There are a couple of things I’m “underwhelmed” by. First is the base. It’s not that great. Not that deep. Second. . . there’s no handle. Bose offers what looks like the same speaker, with a handle, but you have to pay a hundred bucks more for it. I’m assuming there are other things that make it cost more, but exactly what. . . I don’t know. So. . . Without the handle. . . .This Bluetooth speaker is a lot less portable than others.

My favorite speaker, in the same sort of category, is the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay A2. It’s about fifty bucks more, but the sound quality (especially base) is much better. . . and. . . it comes with a handle! 😉 Instead of being round, it’s flat, but there are speakers on both side, so you still have. . . more-or-less. . . 360Вє sound.

I personally think that Bose makes the best sound equipment on the market. They really care about the quality of sound. This speaker is very small, but it pumps out SERIOUS sound. It lasts 13 hours on one charge, so you get lots of playtime. You can easily take it on the go or carry it around the house to keep the music going. It makes a great gift for a music lover. I HIGHLY recommend this speaker.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read this review. I hope the information that I’ve provided helps make your decision a little easier.

The Bose SoundLink Revolve II is a good mid-range budget portable Bluetooth speaker. The bass performance is good, and the sound is good at all sound levels. The 360-degree speaker does not affect its placement. However, its height still affects its expressiveness. I suggest that the height that can be placed closer to the height of the ear is better. This speaker can be connected to the same branded Bluetooth speakers through the app to achieve the theater playback effect. Let’s talk about the speaker pros at the first.
    Pros
    -Waterproof
    -Long battery standby time
    -Bluetooth and wired(3.5mm)
-Voice broadcast can choose many languages, direct choose for first poweron or choose in the app
-There is a universal screw hole at the bottom that can be used with a normal tripod
-360-degree playback without dead ends, the bass effect is very significant
    -small and portable
-Can be set in the same brand speaker connect via app
    -Find the speaker place
    Cons
    -Without recharge adapter
-You must download the app to connect to Bluetooth to use
    -Dust collect surface
-The micro usb charging port does not support fast charging
-Neither the charging port nor the earphone jack has a dust-proof silicone cover

The revolve is smaller than the revolve+ and is missing the hand handle. They support only BT and does not support wifi. Does not matter since devices nowadays have BT and wifi capabilities. However, when it comes to high fidelity audio, it will work better with wifi than BT. Able to pair BT easily with the speaker.

It is able to receive phone calls. Able to hear the caller’s voice very well but the caller has problem hearing me! Maybe the microphone on this speaker is questionable ???

I bought a generic charging cradle and able to use this to charge my Bose revolve+ and revolve. This does not come with a wall charger. Using this wall charger will shorten the charging time. They are light and portable. Has a built-in lithium battery. The revolve+ is able to play for a longer time of 17 hrs vs the revolve at 13 hrs.
Liked the feature that it has a voice mentioning the device it is connected to and the current battery level status.

Loved the 360 degree sound. Able to have 2 of these speakers BT paired to play the same music. If stereo mode is selected, one speaker will announce “left” and the other will announce “right”.

Surprised that it is still using the micro-USB connector and not the newer USB-C connector.
Found that it is able to connect to only 1 device. As an example, it is connected to my amazon echo DOT. Even though when this is not in use, I am unable to have my Samsung S10e phone connect to the speaker. I have to go to the alexa app and click on the “forget device”. After this is done, then I am able to use my phone to connect to the speaker.

To me, the speaker is reasonably priced and offers good quality audio.

Hmmmm. I think sometimes the stellar reputation Bose enjoys may work against them, because expectations are so high that they can’t reasonably be met. This is kinda the case here, at least in my opinion.

I have several pairs of Bose audio headphones that I absolutely love, and my collection of mid-range to high-end BlueTooth speakers includes Bang & Olufsen’s Beolit 20, Belkin’s Devialet-powered Soundform Elite and the extremely weird and funky Sony LSPX-S2 glass tube speaker, so I had a pretty good idea of what to expect from the Bose Soundlink Revolve II. What I got was very good, but it didn’t quite match what I expected.

First, this is a surprisingly small speaker. That much is obvious from the photos, of course, but it still took me a little by surprise just how portable this thing is. It has a little heft to it, but it’s a nicely balanced weight that makes the speaker very stable and also allows you to toss it in a bag and carry it wherever you go. It feels solid and very well made. What hits you about the size, though, is the fact that such a tiny thing can make so much noise. This speaker is *loud*. Pound for pound it may be one of the loudest BlueTooth speakers I’ve used, not counting those bargain basement things that bump up the volume at the expense of sound quality. It’s certainly loud enough to bother the neighbours if you crank it up.

So far so good, but now we hit a bit of an issue. I planned to use the SoundLink Revolve primarily with my iPad, as the built in speakers are terrible and my workhorse Coleman OneSource speaker is getting a little long in the tooth, but to function effectively as an iPad speaker I need an excellent all rounder that can handle any kind of source with ease. I need it to take on my Netflix movies, my YouTube late night show clips, music from Tidal and podcasts from any number of sources. It’s a big ask for any speaker, and I’m not sure the Revolve is quite up to this particular task.

The problem for me, I think, is too much bass and not enough mid range. For music playback this thing is incredible, especially given its diminutive size. I’ve tested it with a number of genres and have yet to find anything it can’t capably handle, so if you’ll be using it primarily for music then go ahead, you won’t be disappointed. Where it stumbled for me, though, was while watching a clip of the Amber Ruffin Show on YouTube. Amber has a pretty high pitched voice that can challenge a small speaker that struggles a little with mids, and through this speaker I found her voice grating. Almost painful at higher volumes. After a few minutes I switched back to my OneSource, which is a much less technically capable speaker but compensates for that with reliable all round performance, and at the same volume I found the sound quality significantly better.

Now don’t get me wrong. This is a very good speaker. It looks great, puts out a whole lot of sound, has an impressive bass response for something so small and retails at a very attractive price. I’m going to keep it paired with the iPad for music alone, but as an all day speaker for general purposes I’ll stick with my Coleman.

The Bose SoundLink Revolve (Series II) is diminutive in size measuring 3.24 x 3.24 x 5.97 and weighing less than a pound and a half. Like the Revolve+ the Revolve is constructed of aluminum and and has an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance.

Though similar in many ways the Revolve and Revolve+ are different speakers constructed for different use cases. Where the Revolve+ offers room-filling sound with deep, powerful bass the Revolve is more of an office dweller. I use the Revolve on my desk, playing concertos and jazz pieces as background noise as I work. The Revolve is exceptional as a Bluetooth speaker for my desk setup and the mic is good enough to use for phone calls and Zoom Meetings.

What I liked most about this Bose SoundLink Revolve (Series II) was:
    – Versatility. While I admit to being a bigger fan of the Revolve+ I use the Revolve far more often because it doesn’t overpower my workflow, but can fill the space immediately around me with rich sound at high volumes. The speaker’s size makes it the perfect height to use on a desk for calls and meetings, plus it can work with various smart assistants with pairing or by plugging it into a compatible alexa device.
    – Sound. The speaker can fill a small space with sound at high volumes and it reproduces the full spectrum with good separation between frequencies.
    – Volume. This speaker’s volume might be the feature I liked most about it. Volume can be low enough to not be distracting, even when the speaker is just a couple of feet away. However, at high volumes it produces enough sound to fill most small and even some medium sized rooms.
    – Party Mode. When connected via the Bose Connect App, the Revolve can sync with the Revolve+ and offer an immersive, low-latency experience.

What I liked least about this Bose SoundLink Revolve (Series II) was:
    – Micro USB charging. Both the Revolve and Revolve+ use the now outdated Micro USB port to charge. No excuse for speakers in their price ranges to use such a dated and inefficient port.

Overall, if you’re in the market for a versatile speaker for your home or office the Bose SoundLink Revolve (SeriesII) deserves strong consideration. While I admit to liking the sound of the Revolve+ more I look at these speakers like many saw the homepod and the homepod mini. Where both are good speakers the full-sized homepod’s sound was a bit much for smaller spaces. The homepod mini slots perfectly into settings where the need for good sound is still desired but you didn’t want to be overwhelmed. A similar comparison can be made for the Revolve+ and this Revolve. The plus model of the speaker may be a bit too much for smaller spaces where the Revolve hits a sweet spot. Owning both provides an immersive experience when the speakers are placed into party mode or a diverse experience when used separately. Highly recommended. 4.5 out of 5.0.

    Waste of money

    Stick with this
    AwesomeЋ sound quality

I actually just bought another one

Sounds great in my backyard for get together

Easy to put together and connect

Even for a dummy like me

    Absolutely love вќ¤пёЏ it !

Great sound from such a small speaker

  13. AZB (verified owner)

Great portable speaker for its size. Great form factor to carry it around . There are better options out there but I could find one that comes in this size

  14. Paul09 (verified owner)

The revolve 2 I purchased wins.
This is surprisingly a bad comparison to the $299 version. The highs and lows aren’t really great.
Surprising for a Bose. Which I was always a fan of because a childhood friend had a thx Bose system and that thing was pure sound.
Just to say it’s not as surrounding in sound.

  15. Lydia Alicia Cristobal (verified owner)

Love the sound especially the base!

  16. JAMES K NELSON (verified owner)

Awesome sound and easy to use.
Because of tower shape, makes it easy to set any where.

  17. T. Conner (verified owner)

Really like the speaker overall, sound is great, but it stopped charging after 2 weeks with minimal use. After a quick google search I discovered I’m not the only one with this issue. Of course Amazon sends a replacement but still disappointing to have issues this early.

  18. David Gunn Jr (verified owner)

We use it for around the house with my Spotify. I think it’s great I have a small Bose speaker that’s way nicer than that one.
It really sucks up the battery life but that’s OK because it’s free to recharge it,no batteries needed like the old days.

  19. Customer (verified owner)

Incredible sound! Crisp and clear sound with great base! Easy use! This speaker will be all you need for your patio music!

  20. Aiorya (verified owner)

Big sound coming from a small device I’m stunned with the high quality of this product

  21. Donna Toney (verified owner)

I am a huge Bose fan but this speaker was just not it. Not that crisp nice sound I’m used to when it comes to their products. I was gonna keep it but it’s really not worth the $200. I’ll try the beats pill.

  22. Carla Bunn (verified owner)

What not to love? I guess the fact that it bumps head with my phone when it rings but that’s fine. I love it!!

  23. STEPH L (verified owner)

Sound quality very nice – but left me we wanting more volume.

  24. Amazon Customer (verified owner)

I bought this speaker for my husband and he loves his Bose sound in a small speaker. I recommend it.

  25. Paul Loberti (verified owner)

Bose never disappoints. I only wish the column had audio control options for treble and bass. Seems very good on the treble side but fair on the bass side. Perhaps a SMART phone app that delivers listener controls is in order? Although small, it packs a good volume and quality of sound punch. Easy to transport. Keep in mind I use it indoors (lovely sound here) and outdoors, and where the latter is concerned nothing will be perfect.

  26. Patricia Almaraz (verified owner)

Sounds is clear and good quality. It automatically programmed to my phone,I didn’t have to do anything other than turn on the speaker

  27. Amazon Customer (verified owner)

The speaker only goes as loud as your phone. Much quieter than I expected. Not worth the money paid.

  28. SJ (verified owner)

Big sound from a little package and I mean big sound. Highly recommend!

  29. Shalita Gray (verified owner)

Update: Not sure what the issue was but it seems to be working on its own without being plugged in.

So far we can only get it to work while it’s plugged. Haven’t worked properly since the box was opened.

  30. Amazon Customer (verified owner)

    Great sound

  31. Tanya W (verified owner)

I love BOSE however, the volume is not quiet as ‘loud’ as expected. The sound quality is very nice/Bose quality.

  32. Jean Cummings (verified owner)

Hate the volume button. Work off and on. So frustrated. But I trashed boxes already so I’m just gonna keep it. Not happy at all

  33. PR (verified owner)

It is exactly what you would want cleft from Bose – fantastic sound!

  34. CJJ (verified owner)

I’m just amazed by the sound this little machine can put out.

  35. Michelle B (verified owner)

Nice Sound quality, but I expect nothing less from Bose. 3 Stars because you can ONLY control the volume on the unit, itself. You should at least be able to control it through an app. It has 360 degree, room filling sound, so you shouldn’t have to have it in your hand while you are watching a movie or TV just to adjust the volume.

  36. elizabeth m ryan (verified owner)

We liked our first Bose and very happy, I was disappointed when the second one did not come with a charger and I paid the same price.

  37. Chris (verified owner)

Sound is fantastic. Makes me forget that there is a television around.

  38. Lori S. (verified owner)

Easy to set up. Great sound. Luv it!

  39. David Staines (verified owner)

I set it up in a couple of minutes. It has great omnidirectional sound.

  40. Luciano (verified owner)

Only one speaker I found that works fine with Alexa . Now I can have music in my backyard from Alexa without moving all

  41. Hearne Family (verified owner)

The sound quality is great, just what you would expect from Bose. We primarily use this speaker on the patio, and it fills the space with sound. Deep base, crisp highs, holds its connection to all of our devices and the battery life has been great. When necessary, an overnight charge is all it needs for several more days of music.

  42. Steve T (verified owner)

The sound was crystal clear and quite good which you would expect from Bose considering the price. I have some issues with the music breaking up and interference which I haven’t determined if it’s a speaker issue or the problem is at the source but what really ticks me off about this thing is they have the nerve to not include a wall charger. Good luck finding one! It mentions in its little useless handbook that you would use a 1500 milliamp USB power supply NOT INCLUDED!! I almost ordered a charging cradle for it which was just an additional $30 until I caught in the small print that all you need to do is plug THE WALL CHARGER THAT CAME WITH YOUR SPEAKER into it meaning it doesn’t have a wall plug either and it’s referring you to use the wall charger that you DON’T RECEIVE WITH YOUR SPEAKER. For the price of this little speaker and for it not to include a simple wall plug to recharge it is absolutely absurd and I’m sending it back for that fact alone.

  43. Xiomara valentin (verified owner)

    perfect gift for fathers day

  44. Ken (verified owner)

Like all my Bose products this speaker has a great sound and is easy to set up.

  45. Krista Scott (verified owner)

    My Bose
We have had ours for years! I actually fixed my old one but bought a back up in the case i couldn’t fix my issue. Needed to be updated.

I have several Bose Bluetooth speakers as well
As wireless earbuds and this has the worse battery life of them all. Got the charger station but can’t get it to stay on charger so just plug it in. Once I’m at 100% I’m down to 20-30% within a few hours.
Very disappointed- I didn’t keep the box to the charging station nor the speaker as I didn’t expect Bose to be sucky so I’m stuck with them

  48. Imstephenzhou (verified owner)

  49. David Pugh (verified owner)

Very disappointing. Sound quality is far below what you’d expect for Bose and the price.

I just picked this up to replace a Klipsch BT speaker I’ve used for over 10 years.

Why do I own a BT speaker and how do I use it? I’m a photographer and knowing the model’s music preferences, and having a service like Apple Music or Spotify, allows me to play music during the shoot to help put them at ease and bring out a bit of rhythm to help with posing, especially flow posing. Carefully adjusting the playlist can help bring about desired body language and facial expressions.

The sound isn’t great but it’s very, very good, with a prominent midrange and inoffensive treble with sufficient baritone and bass notes. It’s been tuned well for its size and should work well with most any genre of music. Despite being designed and advertised as “360 degree sound,” the tweeter is clearly front-biased while either a port or passive radiator is rear-biased.

Listening to Duffy “Rockferry” and Caro Emerald “Deleted Scenes From the Cutting Room Floor” both sound great. I’m not ashamed to break this out for a studio portrait or conceptual art shoot.

The buttons could be better labeled with the industry standard rather than proprietary choices, but once you figure it out, it’s fine. I don’t need the water resistance but it’s nice knowing it’s durable. The exterior of my Triple Black unit is delightfully understated. Battery life is serviceable… I’d expect a unit of this size to have at least double the advertised runtime, so a charging base is already in the shopping cart. The lack of USB-C quick charging, especially in this latest, version II release is a huge letdown.

The inclusion of a 1/4”-20 thread in the base, the standard thread for photography, is a huge boon, especially for photographers and using while outdoors as it can easily be mounted on a tripod or light stand for better sound performance.

Ultimately, it all comes back to sound. It’s far better balanced than the Beats Pill and is able to be played at full volume, unlike the Beats, of which the bass heavy tuning causes the full range drivers to rattle and flutter at full blast. While the Revolve II is clearly directionally biased, it’s not as bad as unidirectional speakers like the Beats Pill. I’m able to set this up on a tripod in the studio, connect Apple Music, set volume to half and never have to touch it again as the sound is delivered in all directions.

For the price, it’s one of the better portable BT speakers available. If you need more volume and higher fidelity, I’d recommend the Plus version, as it is large enough to accept Bose’s signature tuning and does sound better overall. However, for my purposes, the non-Plus version fits perfectly in my camera bag, alongside my lenses, making it perfect for studio and on-location use.

It’s the best collection of compromises for the price point and sounds almost as good as it looks. The sound is actually so mid-focused and clean, I’m considering buying a second one to use in stereo with my iMac, just plucking one off it’s charging base whenever I head out to the studio or location.

If you want a $200 portable BT speaker, you’d be crazy to buy anything besides this, unless you’re an uncompromising bass head. If that’s the case, buy a Sony and avoid the Beats Pill.

The sound was clear and crisp. The battery last for a while before needing to be charged. I love the size not. It’s not big and bulky.

  52. Ulrike (verified owner)

    Good sound quality

  53. Paul K (verified owner)

even at max volume, it’s barely loud enough

  54. Amazon Customer (verified owner)

    Fantastic quality surround sound.

  55. Teri Ryan (verified owner)

It will only connect with my phone. As of today it still won’t link with my computer. Very frustrating….

  56. Adriana M. Nava (verified owner)

It is a wonderful speaker but wanted a Lauder one so I’ve got the one for $260.00

  57. kimberly reades (verified owner)

    Sound awesome

  58. Tina (verified owner)

I’m new to speakers, normally just for fun. But I can figure out very easily this is much better than my previous one SONY SBS-XB… after all it is tenfold more expensive…
But, I like colorful speakers, hhhhhhhhh, so I decided to return it and buy JBL pulse 4.

  59. Jim (verified owner)

Awesome sound…. Great battery life….. easy to set up

  60. neil blackwell (verified owner)

This arrived today. I wasn’t aware that it did NOT come with an adapter to connect directly to electrical outlet. It comes with a cord, but the cord is all you get…..so you can connect to your computer, or if you have extra wall devices around, you’ll have to use those. I was disappointed but obviously should have read more about this before I hit the buy button.

  61. Dane (verified owner)

Treat yourself. This little gem amazed me with it’s clear crisp sound and rich bass.

  62. Juan Alberto Torres (verified owner)

The volume, I expect more efficiency and power

  63. Amazon Customer (verified owner)

Incredible sound… You can call it spendy but if you get past that you do get what you pay for

  64. Michael Dixon (verified owner)

Purchased with the optionsl base. Very nice design

  65. Giff (verified owner)

Tiny AF and very portable, holds a charge well too but lacks the ooomph I’ve seen in other Bose products. If you’d don’t portability, for this kind of cash you might want to just get a Bluetooth capable sound bar with a subwoofer. Or just get a larger model (if they make one). Bottom line if you don’t need portability, I’d consider something else.

  66. Amazon Customer (verified owner)

Hate it…had a 30$ speaker blew it away…save your money.

  67. Katy Blossom (verified owner)

I was very excited for this, Bose is known for their great sound quality. However, my device didn’t seem to hold a charge, and the sound volume couldn’t get loud enough to really enjoy a song without listening to it in the same room. Every time I’d turn it on it would tell me I had less than 10% battery, even though it was plugged in every time I’d use it. Disappointing for how much it cost. I ended up returning it.

  68. Michelle (verified owner)

I bought this to have a portable option for our music on trips. We have really enjoyed it! Very easy to set up, use, charge and store. I will be purchasing another one.

  69. Robert J. (verified owner)

Way too tiny! C-mon Bose you used to be one of the best. My Mini Soundlink II sounds better.

I must say the Revolve name is a great name, it’s revolving right back to Amazon. What a miserable product.

  70. Perrin (verified owner)

Nothing to complain about, glad I spent a little more money to have the sound and durability of this speaker

  71. William Thompson (verified owner)

Had it for one month before it stopped charging at 80 percent.
    Not good!!!

  72. James M CostelloII (verified owner)

Nice lil speaker, quality is well built and I hope it last 10 years as Bose products should last . It looses its quality when playing music at higher levels seems like the bass is very well for anything under 50% volume level but anything past that sounds like every other portable speaker .

  73. mgt (verified owner)

Sent this to my daughter for her birthday gift. She said it is awesome ! it talks to her, tells her who is calling very loud, the travel case is good to have, she carries it with her. Loves it. Better that the older one she has.

  74. mark brown (verified owner)

Nice sound and will pair with a second one. They will play in stereo !

  75. Joel (verified owner)

First unit had Bluetooth problems. Amazon replaced it next day and free return. Great service. New unit works well. Sounds great. Connects easily. I’m a Bose fan.

  79. Ashley yujung choi (verified owner)

I did not test the water resistance on this product but yes, I did use it in the area around my pool. It also got wet. Overall, the sound is what you expect from a Bose product and I am happy with the battery life.

  80. shelly skindelien (verified owner)

Love it, have one in my shop and one at home. Great sound as I would expect from a Bose!

Easy to sync and it worked beautifully!

  85. Theresa Quezada (verified owner)

I am using this Bluetooth speaker for my salon suite of 150 ft.ВІ it is the perfect amount of quality sound, for the space. Love the size and easily blended into a shelf of products. Everyone asks where the sound is coming from, and they say it sounds so good!

  86. Laurie Faircloth (verified owner)

Love this so much. I have used it at the beach in my jeep. It is easy to connect and play. Battery lasts alllll day and then some. The sound quality is awesome. I wish I had bought it earlier!!

  87. James Braun (verified owner)

Doesn’t come with a charger. At this price, that is ridiculous.

  88. Brooke Burns (verified owner)

Unfortunately this didn’t work at all right out of the box. Didn’t charge after 3 days.

  89. Travis (verified owner)

Great sound easy to connect multiple devices. Battery life is great lasts us about a week between charging

  90. Amy Pettit (verified owner)

Brings the concert to you! Excellent Bose quality as always.

  91. Sonja (verified owner)

Love the way it looks, acts, and sounds. Such a nice speaker to have in my backyard. I wish the volume would go higher, but I think this way about every speaker. My hearing isn’t that great :). But this is a nice item and well worth the cost.

  92. Minnesota Martha (verified owner)

Female Micro USB connector on unit failed to work after one charge. Tried with several cables, and a piece from the unit’s female connector broke in the process. I figured that probably voided any warranty, so instead of returning the speaker, I ended up buying a charging base for it (which also has a problematic female Micro USB connector, but works after a few tries).

BOSE speakers are top notch, but various other parts need to be top notch, too. This was my third major (for me) BOSE purchase. My next purchase will probably not be BOSE.

  93. Amazon Customer (verified owner)

Gift for the wife. She loves it. Amazing sound.

Fills area with rich sound, not tinny, on jazz, classical, and pop. Very portable to use outdoors.

  97. Ruth W. (verified owner)

We use these speakers in our rental properties. It is easy to connect to the Bluetooth and the sound is great. They are easy to bring anywhere in the house.

  98. Josh Hammond (verified owner)

I had this speaker for a month. The sound quality was okay but not spectacular. After a few weeks, the charge port quit working and I cannot even charge it to use it. Don’t waste your money.

  99. jah (verified owner)

I love the speaker – great as a portable speaker around the house as well as when playing golf. It fits in a golf cart cup holder if inserted upside down. The charging base unit, on the other hand, is a joke. Very difficult to get cable into the receiving plug because of design/alignment issues.

  100. Jackie Sell (verified owner)

It’s like listening to a live band!

  101. Marge (verified owner)

Over all great speaker, lasts long, and has not given me any problems so far.

Never charge to capacity and now 2 mo ths wont charge at all. I even bought the charger base and still nothing. First and last time I will by Bose…So disappointed and not cheap. Now outside of return window

  103. Amazon Customer (verified owner)

I just want a speaker. I don’t want an Alexa. Stop talking!

  104. Tage (verified owner)

I’ve owned a lot of Bose products throughout the years and this is probably the only product that I have been disappointed in so far. The sound quality is ok but I definitely expected it to be better. The biggest issue is when you try to connect this speaker to your devices. Getting this thing connected to my Macbook pro is almost impossible. I have to remove and add this every time I want to connect it, and even so, most often when it connects it sounds like it is playing music inside a tin can at 10% of its capacity. My phone handles the connection a bit better, but instead the music cuts out frequently even though the phone is right beside the speaker.

  105. liliana Bogao (verified owner)

Such a great full sound, and the WiFi is so strong that it keeps connecting my sons phone to it whether he knows it or not. Hahahaha!

  113. Bonnie Spencer (verified owner)

Amazing speaker. Great sound and crazy long battery life. Have used it all over the house and outside. Huge bass coming from such a small unit.

  114. Todd H. (verified owner)

I have two of these speakers in different parts of the house used for different things. I have one connected to my computer for awesome sound, and the other to my phone so I can listen to my massive music library. I have yet to connect them both in party mode but I imagine it will be pretty great.

  115. BT (verified owner)

  116. Rich K. (verified owner)

Impressed by sound produced! Might by a 2nd one and link together

  117. Megan M. (verified owner)

Love the sound quality on this little speaker. I use it at work on my desk. Puts out great sound at any volume clarity is unbelievable. It has a screw in the bottom to place on a tripod. May get another for outdoor patio stereo play in party mode!

  118. Terry Lee (verified owner)

I’ve used Bose for a long time and I have never been disappointed! I read some reviews of this speaker that quite frankly were complete nonsense. I also watched a video review and the person was complaining about the power cord. Come on people! From the moment I opened the box and turned this speaker on, I was impressed! Quick connect! Sound – awesome! I live in a house with 12 foot ceilings and this little speaker could be heard everywhere and the sound was amazing!! Typical Bose product – AWESOME! As for the other people’s complaints – I’ll say this: use the product for its intended purpose and you should be fine. It says it’s water resistant but I have no plans of testing that functionality. I don’t want to risk it! Battery life – if you plan on charging this up and using it extensively, expect the battery to not last long. Not an issue for me because I know the limitations of the speaker and I adjust accordingly. Sound quality – typical Bose quality. Totally satisfied.
One person commented that when it’s connected to your phone and you’re playing music and you get a call, it connects the call. Isn’t that what it’s supposed to do? And it’s extremely easy to reconnect the speaker.

  119. Hieu Ngo (verified owner)

You pay what you get, love Bose

  120. Young S. Bae (verified owner)

    It sounds great!

Only if I do not need to listen to repeated voice ‘Ready to Connect!’ Once is more than enough.

  121. ChipShotLady (verified owner)

Bose has been my go-to for speakers for years. This device did not disappoint! Several other reviews mentioned no wall charger – it comes with a USB cord (pictured) which is totally acceptable to me. I did purchase the cradle separately. The sound quality is top-notch. The charge lasts a long time. We hosted a party and played music all day and into the evening – remaining charge was still at 50%. Easy to use, sounds great, small and portable. I love it! One other thing – several reviews mentioned no app and having to use the controls on the device. Not the case! You are able to use your phone to adjust volume, pause, advance right from your music library.

For an outdoor speaker the volume isn’t able to go up very high. Can’t hear it on other side of small porch. Disappointed for Bose product brand.

  128. baldemar mendez jr. (verified owner)

I love this product but upon receiving the third one I still cannot get battery to charge more than 20%. Sound is great but poor battery and trouble with this issue makes me hesitant on trying a fourth speaker.

  129. Morgan Evora (verified owner)

I tested it outdoors and its performance is extraordinary.

  8. A I have not experienced issues connecting to the SoundLink no matter where it's located. I can go inside with the device outside (or vice versa) and sound quality is just as great! I must admit, it's 'bass'is a bit more than I'd like but you can't adjust that .... enjoy from wherever!
  9. A We’re not thrilled with this speaker. We prefer our Sonos
  10. A If you have any Apple devices or anything that has a USB adapter that plugs into a wall outlet, the charger cord that comes with this speaker will fit it and you can charge it as normal. It should have it's own USB adapter, but it does not.
  11. A Bose or Best Buy, both carry them if you can't find the right type here.

  27. A It comes with a USB power cord, but not with a charger. The cord needs to be connected to a PC or USB charger outlet.
  28. A Works great with watching/streaming movies. We haven’t noticed much if a delay, if any. However, please know that the only way the volume can be adjusted is from the device itself, which can be very annoying. But the sound quality is great for movies and it fills the room. From action movies to love stories, the sound does not disappoint.
  29. A Yes! We were at the beach just yesterday and the sound was almost as robust as it is when at home watching a movie.

  32. A I have never tried to play it connected to a computer, but with my I phone you just Bluetooth it one time and everytime you turn it on it automatically connects to the i phone. Really great little speaker with a big sound.
