Questions and answers of the customers
- A Has to be the same model AND THE SAME CHIP. So, for instance, the X10 will only pair with another X10...but NOT with an X10-1, because the X10-1 has a different chip. Likewise, the D8 will only pair with another D8...but not with a D8-1. W-King says they are having to use different chips because of shortages. Maybe true. But I'm not aware of Anker or JBL doing this. Part of me wonders if it's an excuse to force owners to spend more money if they want to have 2 paired speakers. Just sayin'...
- A Its a basic speaker you have to turn up the volume on speaker alone with your phone.
- A Frequency response isnt something you can just talk about. If youd like to get detailed stats on this speaker i suggest asking Rtings to do a review of the wking x10. But i will say as an audiophile myself in the outdoor mode (speaker turns on into indoor mode)The sound is really well balanced and the highs are very well represented. Ive had a few expensive speaker ive tested and the wking x10 is the only one i could clearly hear and distinguish between the high hats and cymbals, and distinguish between the kick drum and standing drums, and clearly hear the snare drum in jimi Hendricks'"who knows". Its also the only speaker ive used that i could clearly hear the snare drum rattle from the bass amp in the studio recording of "i am the highway". Unlike a lot of speakers the sound has so much room to live and it sounds way more "3d" even without any cheap stereo software tricks. Just a fiio m6 and an aux cable and this $120 speaker turns into one of the best portable audiophile speakers available.
- A Yes, but as always get a 120 watt power supply outlet or charger that transform voltages. Lithium batteries can't get overheated because they the battery dies faster.
- A I use it for my part time job hours vary daily , Its very noisy there the 1st day was 7 hours and the second day was 6 and it showed 1 out of 3 bars left !! which is great , I had it pretty loud also this is what i was looking for :)
- A Comes with a cord but not the actual charger for me I used the charger that came with my Samsung note 20 ultra ... type c to type c which is what gives it fast charging
- A muy buen sonido la recomiendo
- A It's an original, non-generic product from W-King.
- A Yes, if you disconnect the Bluetooth from your device. If Bluetooth is still connected it may not turn off.
- A Not when is charging unless you are playing music and charging at the same time then you will see the lights
- A Yes, all the speaker were firmware updated From May.
- Q how do I locate/purchase the power supply (portion that goes into the wall socket) for this device?A You may already have one. Do you have a power supply that accepts USB cables? If so, then just use the USB C cable that came with the X10. The power supply does NOT need to be 30 watts. I have several power supplies from old phones, laptops, and tablets that I simply plug the USB C cable into and use them to charge the X10. The only advantage to having a 30 watts power supply is that it will charge the speaker more quickly. But I use an old one that's 10 watts and the X10 fully charged overnight just fine.
- A I have the D9, and hope someone can answer more specific to the question asked in terms of mids and highs on the x10. I find the D9 to be muted somewhat in the higher end - it's there, but needs to be brought forward more. I'm glad I have a good mp3 player that plays HD files, but also has a 10-band EQ on it. I can improve the mids and highs, but to do so, after much listening, the last 3 sliders are +3 to +4.5 while the bottom bass 3 are -1.5 to -2.5. It would be nice to find a BT speaker that has a better high end on it's own w/o a lot of help, as the recording itself will change from artist to artist due to how it was mixed down, and at the same time is more realistic with the clang of the metal cymbals and not the tin foil crinckly tinny sound that many speakers have.
- A Not at all most of all Bluetooth Speakers will not play both its usually one or the other
- A you can use the equalizer sir. it will not cause any problems.
- A Defective speaker
- A Yes, sir.
- A I am using a Nintendo swift charger or a charger with a C conector. Also, I send a email do manufacturer in order to have the correct charger specification.
- A Made in China! High quality!
- A The bass is awesome for a speaker so small. If you use the eq on your phone it REALLY hits, even at low volumes. I was concerned it would not do well with Rock.....but I am BLOWN AWAY for a speaker this size...at this pricepoint
- A Claims 4 years but warranty site to register is non-exist
- A There is a video on YT that tested I believe the D9 next to the x10
- A Splash proof
- A I believe it will come separately instead of pre-install. I am requesting this myself currently for x10 at this time as well
- A Over 100, its close if not as loud as boombox 1 unpluged an less bass.
- A Hi yes it is Bluetooth 5 And has a audio connection in the back
- A The D9 is a great speaker the x10 is similar but faster charge time and little better lows on the bass but still has nice upper bass, the D9 is a bit more punchier and sounds more like a boom box, the X10 sounds a little more premium. You can't go wrong with either speaker though!
- A You can definitely crank it up for outdoors and have nice powerful sound, but also sounds nice indoors at lower volumes without sounding like a tiny speaker.
- A No, it only comes with a type-c charging cable but not adapter. It takes 3 hours to fuuly charge.
- A Its a 60 watts rms and 70 watts peak.
- A yea, 15000mAh
- A Low bass. I have all W-KING speakers. This boy is different.
- A I think black is the best color.
- A 7 pounds
- A 7 pounds without the package. It has 15000mAh battery. But don't worry, it includes a shoulder strap for carring.

Design:
I got my speaker today May 1, 2021. First impression was nice design different than others wking speakers with led lights on top and ports and comes with detachable strap.
Sound:
This wking X10 comes with 2 sound modes indoor (bass heavy) and Outdoor (poor Bass and not even Louder than the indoor Just a bit more emphasis on the highs). Why would you have outdoor mode when all it does takes away bass making it sound thin (my personal opinion). I own 2 Wking D8’s which I took one D8 and tested side by side with X10. First test was indoor Mode the X10 was about 15 to 20 percent louder and kept upperbass and low bass at Max vol. better than D8, X10 Volume with mГnimal distorsiГіn but vocal were behind on X10 maybe for emphasis on bass.
Outdoor Mode:
The X10 in outdoor Mode was awful all it does is disable that good bass and no volume improvement Just a bit better on the highs. So whats is the point of having two sound modes? The D8 in outdoor Mode was as loud as the X10 but more distorted on D8 but with that good bass and emphesis in highs.. which for me the X10 is great dissapointment.
So Wking, why not have the same outdoor Mode like the Wking D8 keeping the bass? I hope a software update will be available soon.. for People that like bass on outdoor Mode on the X10.
Also… I dГd some test with songs with low frecuency bass. The X10 is handles it very good compare to the D8.
Did another test with eq and tested the low frecuency on the X10 and its was very good but you probably wont notice it too much without eq because the upper bass is also there.
Wking you need an app with EQ for your speakers.
Here is an update 5/9/21 …. after having contacted WKING requesting an improvement in the bass of the outdoor mode which they gave me in a matter of days (firmware update), I was able to install it and test the outdoor mode and yes …. there was an improvement of the bass. The sound is focused on the highs but now with more pronounced bass.
Well now I will give you 5 stars for your good customer service, willing to listen and please your customers … and one more thing … thanks WKing for not taking away ports like 3.5mm aux and making this speaker versatile.рџ‘Ќ

The W-KING X10 is a crisp sounding speaker. Out of the 3 W-KING speakers I own (D9, T9, & X10) this speaker I think is a good choice if you’re looking to take your speaker outdoors. It comes with a strap, similar to the older D8 which makes it look and feel very portable. This speaker sounds like it was made for an outdoor party experience. It favors clarity than bass. I compared the sound with my D9 and there was a noticeable difference. Here’s my suggestion –
If you want super loud BASS and don’t care about portability and waterproof then get the T9. If you want a little more bass than the X10 then the D9 is an excellent choice, though I think it’s more INDOOR friendly because of its design.
Overall this is a nice speaker and I think I’ll be using this only for outdoor events because of its clarity and portability.

As I’ve mentioned in my review for the Soundcore Motion Boom, for whatever reason I freaking love bluetooth speakers, and have owned (and currently own) dozens of them! I bought this speaker before it even came out, as I had high hopes for it, and while I am very impressed with certain aspects of it, it let me down slightly.
My main gripe with the X10 is the lack of lower bass, and bass in general when listening at low to mid volumes. The Motion Boom has significantly better bass when listening in the 40-75% volume range. Once you get to full volume, the X10 and Motion Boom have similar bass levels.
The overall volume of the X10 is very impressive! It is downright painful when listening at full volume when indoors. I didn’t notice any distortion at all on any of the songs I listened either. If volume is your thing, you are not going to be disappointed with this speaker, guaranteed! It’s noticeably louder than the Motion Boom/Motion+ and probably most portable speakers on the market that aren’t gigantic (ex. Aiwa Exos 9, JBL 100, you get the point lol)
The outdoor mode is a complete waste of time! All it does it completely remove the bass and makes the speaker sound VERY tinny. W-King needs an updated firmware to address this issue, not doubt about it.
If W-King could make an App with custom EQ for their speakers like the one soundcore has for their products, then this speaker could be a game changer! I know it has way more potential than either of the modes are giving it. The passive radiators don’t even really budge unless you above 50% volume, and that’s when listening to bass heavy music.
If you want a super loud speaker that is built well and has amazing battery life and is also waterproof, then this is for you! If W-King can either update the firmware for this speaker to show it’s full potential, I will give it 5 stars all day long, but at its current state it’s only 4/5.

Wow!! It’s really good..
Sound quality that pierces above and beyond many name brand speakers that are in your big box stores. This speaker truly delivers bass that you normally don’t get to experience in your music.
This speaker fills your room even on the lowest volume. I tested on max volume as well and noticed minimal distortion. I plan on hosting many pool parties with this speaker!
I’m ordering another one because they pair together for a stereo audio experience.

I love my new X10 as it has immersive sound and very strong bass. I can also connect my mobile phone when it is downloading so my party never ends.
Although I have not tested its resistance to water, I imagine it is equal to or better than my old D8, which has no problem with getting wet.
I have tested it with my neighbor’s X10, and the TWS gives a perfect stereo sync, covering a very large area via bluetooth.

I simply loved this speaker! If you like Bass, look no further… I’m using this with my Electronic drums, karaoke for the kids, barbecues… the power is impressive, it fills the room with quality sound… I have a smaller famous brand unit (almost same price), but this W-King simply smashed it in bass and volume. It is a large speaker, but still portable. Definitely recommend it…

This speaker sounds great. I’m shocked by the amount of volume this little thing puts out. It’s very loud with very decent bass, for its size. It easily connects to Bluetooth (and stays connected) every time, with no issue. The strap and its clips look nice and seem to be good quality. I also have the D9. Their volume is about the same (the D9 may be a tiny bit louder), but the X10 has a nicer, richer sound, which I prefer. I’ve tested it it with various styles of music, from acoustic to electronic, and they all sound good coming out of this thing. I even plugged it into my TV as a little sound bar and it sounded great. It really brought the movie alive. This speaker is so versatile. I have different speakers for different purposes, and I bought this one for one very specific use, but I find myself reaching for this one over and over.
If I had to find something to complain about, I would like the option to disable some of the speaker’s features. For example, when you long press the Volume buttons (a very popular way to adjust volume, in my experience), it skips to the next or previous track. I could also do without the loud chimes on powering on/off and connecting/disconnecting. I’m also not crazy about the lights on the buttons staying on all the time. I don’t think that these are inherently bad features, just ones that I personally could do without.
Overall, I’m very happy with this speaker. I’m sure it will see plenty of mileage this summer.

I listened to a few hours of my usual playlist through this speaker (playing off of the microSD card as 320kbps MP3s). I am very familiar with what the music sounds like through a variety mid-fi and hi-fi systems as well as headphones (including IEMs). The only things I can say about this speaker is, whatever DSP they are doing to the sound, it absolutely kills the music, including its dynamic range, as well as the high and the middle frequencies. It sounds like the singers are being choked while singing, and the upper frequencies are both choppy and scratchy.

I sold my JBL Xtreme and kept the W-King X10. I will tell you that this company makes an amazing speaker! The bass is nice & powerful but balanced very well with the mids & highs.
I was looking for something LOUD and POWERFUL sounding that I could use outdoors at gatherings and would have more than enough sound for any occasion but also a speaker that sounded good at lower volumes too for indoors that doesn’t sound tiny. THIS is the speaker to get!
The battery life is very good and charge’s respectively fast for being such a large battery.
The light up buttons & ports are a very nice feature and helpful at night.
If you plan on connecting this speaker to your TV you will not be disappointed, it’s almost like being at the theaters!
The W-King X10 really delivers, it get very loud, much louder than any JBL Xtreme currently available, and the bass doesn’t start to disappear as the volume goes up, the bass is still fully there even at max volume! unlike most other Bluetooth speakers. Btw I don’t hear any distortion at max volume either.
*This speaker really comes alive if you use an equalizer on your phone, I use WAVELET for Android and it wakes the speaker right up!
W-king gained me a new customer! I’m so impressed with there product and customer service!

This is by far the best bluetooth speaker in it’s class I’ve ever owed. The bass has great lows well balanced with mids and crystal clear highs. Way better sounding than a similar one I owed and returned @$350. You all know which one. This is by far an outstanding speaker unlike any other in it’s class. I highly recommend this one. This speaker (W-King X10) has a lot to offer. I have only used it for a week and I can definitely say the x10 is worth it. It operates like your normal Bluetooth 5.0 connection speaker for your electronics such as your phone. For higher quality sound, it has an aux input so you can connect it via cord connection. My favorite connection is TF mode where one can store all your music in your Micro SD card in 3 different formats eg. Mp3, FLAC, or WAV and will play it flawlessly. Although, the unit is a bit heavy when transporting (7 pounds), but the speakers produce highs and lows that are close to what an audiophilic would look for, especially via WAV files from the TF mode. X-10 appears bulky, but one can tell its high-quality material due to its weight and performance. X10 has impressed me for its deep bass and long battery life (35+ hours). It’s nice to know that I can charge my phone two or more times while I outside at the beach or park if needed. I can’t wait to bring it to family picnics and pool parties. I will definitely recommend x10 to my friends and family.

The best bluetooth speaker if you value what you spend. The sound is superb highs, mids and THE BASS. No distortion even if played in high volume. Battery should last you all day if played below 80% perfect for all your outdoor activities and indoor ones too. The shoulder strap is a welcome addition too. It charges 2 1/2 hours if you use a fast charger. It gives you a very pleasant background music.. Buy the x10 you will never regret it.

I purchased this speaker to use in a vintage car that has a dead stereo and I don’t want to spend the time or money installing a modern radio in it. I have a Samsung phone so I’m able to play audio from two Bluetooth speakers at the same time, so I’ve paired this with a Soundcore Motion+ — both of which are $100 each. Battery life is pretty good. At full volume, you can probably get a solid 4-5 hours. This one is certainly much louder than the Motion+, but doesn’t feel as balanced or rich if that makes sense. I’ve never been a fan of the boomy bass found on a lot of Bluetooth speakers because usually bass effects just make the speaker sound super muddy and cheesy. Plus, I don’t listen to Top 40 or Dubstep or whatever the Youtube reviewers always seem to listen to. This one is fairly punchy but does have a bit of the boominess/muddiness to it. The EQ options are very limited, which is not ideal. If there was an option to be able to really dial in the EQ like you can on the Soundcore speakers, it’d make this one a true contender for best Bluetooth speaker at the $100 price range. Overall, it’s definitely a good value and I’d still recommend it if you need/want volume over sound quality.

I researched bluetooth speakers for a long time before purchasing this one. I watched all the youtube reviews of various brands and price points. Since this is a newer W-King there wasn’t much to go off so I decided to take a gamble and return it if it was no good. When I recieved it I was immedietely impressed with the build quality for the price. After fully charging it (took overnight using a samsung S9 phone charger; I purchased the recommended 30w USB-C fast wall plug to speed it up in future) I played various types of music to test the sound quality and was not that impressed; especially in EQ 2 mode. I was ready to return it and spend a lot more money on a Sonos but decided first I would email W-King asking for a firmware update to address the sound quality issue. They responded very quickly that evening with a link to the update software. Awesome customer service! I think the reason they don’t make it readily available is because it’s not an intuitive process; Less tech savvy people may have an issue. You have to unzip a folder from the link, install updater software, then point the software to the firmware file all while holding down various buttons on the speaker. I think you also have to be using a windows based system. Once it was updated the sound is much improved. For my listening preference EQ 2 now sounds better with a fuller rounded out sound than EQ 1. The firmware update brought back the bass and lower range in EQ2. EQ 1 is super bass forward and muddier sounding in comparison but still ok. Some people may like that sound as it’s a subjective preference. Now the sound quality is very good especially at this $100 price point. Another thing that surprised me is how loud this thing gets with no distortion. The bass is excellent especially when put in a corner near a wall. You can’t tell but besides the 2 on the sides there is also a passive bass radiator on the back above the input ports which reflects off the wall. All in all now it’s a great sounding speaker, a bargain for the price, from a company with excellent customer service.

Have not been able to use it since it comes with some bizarre charging cord (not standard) and no power pack to plug it into. Would have been helpful if they said this up front. Or offered the charger. Most things like this come with a charger.

This is my initial review of the product, as I just got it yesterday.
It’s simple and easy to use. I love that in a product. No having to read the instruction manual if you’ve used BT devices before. It even had a good 80% charge on it when I got it so I was immediately able to use it.
This thing is loud and has very clear audio. I’m surprised at how much volume this thing puts out without distorting. Especially for it’s size. It’s like a football that’s slightly larger. I actually thought I had it on full blast, but the speaker was on like 75% and my phone’s volume was 100%. So there was more room for volume. I tried various audio sources and the only time the audio wasn’t good…was when the source wasn’t good. So it’s not the speaker.
I’m not a fan of the outdoor EQ mode. It literally just strips the bass and makes the highs and mids clearer. People complaining that this thing needs an EQ…just download one for your phone, computer, or device. I would like to see an app that allows control of this for the speaker, but for the price and what this thing can do…I’m not complaining.
The Bluetooth 5 works well even at a distance. I tested it, and it’s more than anyone should ever need distance wise. It also didn’t cut out during the few hours of testing.
The weight is nice. It’s not heavy, but doesn’t feel at all cheap. It even has a seatbelt material for the carry strap which is nice
This is my first BT speaker, but I’m super impressed. Maybe an audiophile can pick it apart…but I haven’t found anything that upsets me or makes me feel like I didn’t get my money worth.

Loud right out of the box! Good clean bass, and it gets better with the EQ. I compared it to the JBL Extreme 2, this unit is much louder and bass is lower than the Extreme. Specs say 80Hz but I tested at 40Hz with very little distortion. $125. well spent…

I have owned several Bluetooth speakers over the past couple years with the last two purchases being the AOMAIS 30 watt speaker. Received the W-King yesterday and was pleased with the finish. This speaker is a bit more heavier as compared to other speakers this size but not a game changer. The overall sound quality is absolutely amazing. The mids and highs were crisp with the bass providing fullness to the music being played. The bass is my opinion is well balanced having a deep richness of sound. Extremely happy with the purchase and you will be as well.
Dawn C (verified owner) –
This speaker is awesome, LOUD, CLEAR, and plenty of bass on EQ1 setting which is perfect.
the outdoor EQ setting reduces the bass and boosts treble slightly so you can play it louder outside where bass is lost…..but in reality this is ridiculously loud already so I feel no need to push to its absolute limit at the expense of the bass. On a positive, They will send a firmware update on request to boost bass in both modes…..but out of the box I am quite happy with it on EQ1 and can adjust the sound via spotify or phone EQ if there is a need.
Regarding sound quality….I lean in this direction over looks/volume. Its got to sound good on all types of music. I use it mainly for rock, but also listen to jazz, blues, and a little pop…. am extremely impressed by the sound quality, right up there with JBL and the larger partyboxes. Was expecting this to be a bass heavy box with poor mids, but the mids/highs hold up well and have dedicated tweeters unlike many others. All my existing BT speakers sound like are toys now…..just like the old 1080P TV!!!!!
Have been looking models by the king for a few months, but was put off by the ugly look despite the rave reviews. Then finally the X10 speaker appears including the premium build, looks/feels great and has a HUGE powerbank. Even works as a speakerphone. At $100 this destroys the name brands. Just ordered another one to be able to pair for parties….gotta throw my old UE booms to the curb…never realized how much bass could come from such a small package

For the money a great speaker for the pool or anywhere outside. The eq feature should be removed but if you want to spend another 100$ there are other options. I like this one for the abuse it is going to take and it didn’t break the bank. So far a great purchase.

I have had a number of other branded Bluetooth speakers from the competition and spent much more on other speakers. These speakers really are worth the price. Considering you can get two of these for TWS pairing for less than one of a competitor (which I did), choosing W-King is a no brainer. Not to mention the battery will last more than twice as long as the competition. I also have two W-King D8 speakers. My wife was always using them at school, I used that as an excuse to upgrade. While W-King may be a little known speaker company at the moment, the quality of their products will make them well known. They always impress our friends who have never heard of them whenever we take them to parties. We have had several friends buy them after hearing ours.

Went from jbl extreme 2 to soundcore motion plus then a motion boom then aiwa exos 3 then harmon kardon onyx studio 6 then w king d9 then a second d9 love those speakers to t9 which I returned as there was no ip rating and now the x10!!! The x10 is my favorite of all these and to me has the best sound, best build, and best features!! If a person has android and can go into sound setttings.. hit adapt sound then the under 30 yrs old option which boosts the highs and then keep this speaker on the indoor mode which has an insane amt of bass for speaker this size you will find this thing is the meanest most beautiful bt speaker made!! Where this speaker shines is at that 70 to 100 percent volume level!! The others at 80 percent or more would begin to distort and sound would go downhill….. these w king speakers are all different in that they just get better…. zero distortion at those volumes!!!! Really a person cannot go wrong with any of the 3 I’ve had from w king…. but the x10 to me is hands down the best of the best and that is especially true if you have an android phone!!!! No matter what phone tho a person cannot go wrong!!!

I went from a Bugani M83 to the X10. I was never impressed with the Bugani but i can’t believe how good the W-King sounds! Its high quality and worth every penny i paid. If anyone from W-King sees this, can you please send me the update file for this speaker? I have ZERO issues with this amazing speaker and i highly recommend it. EDIT: After having this for a while i have gone back and reevaluated this speaker. It sounds good but i am disappointed in the hours you get per charge. They claim 45 hours on full charge and i barely get 1/2 that with the volume on 20% or less. Also there is supposed to be an update that makes the outdoor mode sound much better but i can’t get anyone from the company to get back in touch with me. There is no customer support. I originally gave this 5 stars but after a few weeks i would now give it 3.5.

The product listing says Charge your speaker in 3.5 hrs with the included Type-C cable, but it neglects to mention that you ALSO NEED A 30 W CHARGER–which is NOT INCLUDED. Be prepared to spend an additional $25 to $50 dollars for it, unless you already have one for a recent model iPad.
After posting my initial review the seller contacted me and refunded $20 towards the purchase of a charger. Although I had already paid $50 to buy a charger in a timely fashion, I am increasing my review from 1 to 4 stars. The product itself is excellent. They should simply say charger not included on the listing.

Right out of the box the manual says make sure it is fully charged which it isn’t and does not come with a 30W power adapter to charge it so must spend at least $20 to charge and wait a few more days uugg….to me that is stupid to cell something that has to be charged but doesn’t come with it….Dah

I’ve had the W-King D8 for about a year now and decided to upgrade to the X10 which claims to be 70w vs the D8’s 50w. Also the X10 is almost twice the price as the D8. With a Side by Side comparison of both units using a Samsung S20 Ultra dual Bluetooth pairing, and alternating both units from max to min volume on the same song at the same time, the D8 was as loud or louder. While the X10 had just a touch better clarity at max volume, it wasn’t as loud as the D8. So for a speaker that’s 30% more powerful and 50% more expensive than the D8, I was throughly disappointed.
If W-King reaches out to me to exchange this unit for another one they can, otherwise I’m going to return it as there’s no need for this unit if it performs the same as the cheaper D8.

Got this on prime day and was really excited to test it out. I should’ve read the description to know that this doesn’t come with a charging block. I was searching for it everywhere! The sound on this speaker is quit loud. When I kept pressing the volume up button, it started making skipping noises. I’m not sure if this a defect or if I just need to charge it all the way. Guess I’ll wait for my charger to come in before I’ll test it out again.

This W-King. X 10 speaker is fantastic. Yes a charge block is not included. This speaker is really loud and as a great sound. For Those who do not know. Your phone as is, most likely will not alow your speaker to play at full volume. 2nd try a phone equalizer with this speaker it will change everything. You will love it.

This is probably the best speaker around this price point. I’ve had this speaker now for a couple of days, the only complaint that I have is it not including a charger block. Yes I know that it clearly states that it will not come with one but it is a hassle and a bit of a waste of money to get one if the company should be sending a block with the speaker. I first got one of the cheaper blocks not knowing that it’ll take forever to charge it( This was my fault for not doing research before and buying the cheaper block.) When you get this speaker make sure to get a fast charging block this is at least 30w or higher, this will improve the charge time greatly, I personally went with a 60W charging block (these aren’t the cheapest blocks but they charge the speaker a lot faster)
review (verified owner) –
For the money, you are better off getting an ion from Costco. This speaker is decent for its size but I was expecting a lot more based on the reviews.
EDIT
i need to change my review. I didn’t really give this speaker a fair chance and I didn’t realize it is a double amp, meaning the volume controls of the speaker and your phone are independent of each other. It goes much louder than I originally thought.
If you are looking for loudness, the ions are simply bigger and louder. However, this is much more portable. The range is great as well. I strapped it to the handlebars of my wave runner and it sounded great up to about 45mph.
The battery seems to have been seasoned. The current charge I’m on has lasted a couple of weeks and has maybe 15 hours on it and shows 2/3 full.
Customer service is impressive. They reached out to me twice to see if they could replace the speaker or reprogram it.
I’m happy with this speaker and would definitely recommend it to a friend.

I really like how this speaker sounds. Problem is…and it may just be MY phone…the Bluetooth cuts in and out . Very annoying. I connect to other Bluetooth speakers and they play fine. My wife connected with her phone…and plays fine. Took it to my sister’s house and her phone played fine (apple) so I gave It to her. For reference I’m using a Xiomi Redmi note 10. Idk if I should buy a replacement and hope it was just something wierd going on or just go with jbl.
It really does sound great , better than my bose SoundLink color I was trying to replace.

just got a replacement and used it all night at work at full volume all night. this one is crystal clear and the bass is really good. These speakers keep getting better and better. the highs and lows are crystal clear. I had 1 before this and there must of been something wrong with it because once I got a replacement there’s no comparison.

good quality overall my issue is with the speakers on the side. I wish they had some sort of cover, the speakers are exposed and are very easy to damage if you grab the wrong way, it would have been so easy to put a mesh or some sort of support that will protect the side speakers and this will had made it a killer speaker for this price. Would I buy it again ? .. maybe, but I would have done more research and I may have gone with another option

I’ve only had the speaker for one day, but I bought it to compare to the TREBLAB HD-Max – Big Loud Bluetooth Speaker – 50W. The overall sound is very similar for both speakers, but I feel this W-King 70 watt is slightly louder, but more crisp and clear, with punchier bass. And, it’s over $60 less expensive!

Updated 8/28/21:
As mentioned below in my original review, I ordered the T9-1 and have done a pretty thorough comparison of features and sound quality between the X10 and T9-1. Heaviest emphasis is on sound quality. The verdict: The X10 wins. Yes, the T9-1 has an ever-so-slightly deeper bass than the X10. But for you bass lovers, the difference is barely discernible. And the T9-1 bass has a weird, kind of unpleasant hollow sound to it that I do not notice with the X10. The bass on the T9-1 just doesn’t sound as crisp and clear as the X10. Maybe the larger casing with the T9-1 causes that hollow sound? Not sure. Anyway, the T9-1 does get a little bit…again, only a little bit…louder than the X10. Again, barely discernible. Overall, I just think the X10 sounds better and combine that with the fact that the X10 is IPX6 rated, the X10 is an overall better speaker. (I do like the lighting effects on the T9-1 and that it auto-shuts off after a while if there’s no music input. But for me, sound quality is most important.)
Original review:
I’ve become a bluetooth speaker junky. I’ve owned about a dozen of them over the years and currently have 4, with a 5th one (a W-King T9) on the way.
I purchased this W-King X10 a couple of weeks ago and it sounds great. I also have several Doss speakers including 2 Doss Soundbox XL’s that are probably the best bang for the buck as far as getting really good sounding speakers at a low price. Paired together, the 2 Doss XL’s sound fantastic with their sub-woofers providing low bass, but (a) they are for indoor use only and (b) the W-King X10 is louder with even deeper bass.
So, now that I’ve had the W-King X10 for a couple of weeks, here are the pros and cons:
PROS
> Excellent sound. I’m a bass lover and this speaker does not disappoint.
> Solidly built. This speaker is put together like a tank. Good looking too.
> Very resistant to water damage, but not submersible.
> Good value for the price.
CONS
> I wish bluetooth speaker manufacturers/resellers wouldn’t exaggerate the battery duration in their product descriptions. For example, W-King says the X10 can last 45 hours on one charge. Well that may be true, but read the caveat carefully in the description. It says 45 hours if it’s on the lowest volume setting. Heck…you can hardly hear anything on the lowest volume setting. So no way does this battery last as long as it’s hyped if you intend to use it as most people would, i.e. at 50% – 75% volume. At those higher volume settings, I’d say you’ll get between 5-8 hours of playtime.
> I like using the TF/SD card feature. But I wish the unit would automatically shuffle the files instead of playing them in sequence. I contacted the reseller and they said there’s no firmware update available to shuffle the TF/SD card playlist. (The Doss XL does have a firmware update that shuffles music files being played from a TF/SD card.)
> There’s no auto-off feature that turns off the speaker if there’s no incoming bluetooth signal after…say…10 minutes.
Lastly, to those who have given lower ratings because the X10 does not come with a power adapter/charger, you’re certainly entitled to do so. But the description clearly states, multiple times, that this speaker does not come with an adapter/charger. So it’s not like they didn’t tell you! And besides, probably 90% of us already have adapters/chargers that we can use for the X10. It can handle up to a 30 watt adapter/charger for the quickest charging time (3.5 hrs). I don’t have one, so I just use an existing 10 watt adapter/charger. Yeah…it takes longer to charge, but I just plug it in at bedtime and it’s fully charged by morning.
So, I can’t wait for the T9 to arrive and then I’ll compare the two and update this review. Stay tuned!!

I was a bit skeptical about this speaker and how it compared to the much more expensive JBL Charge…but I wasn’t disappointed! Sound quality is very good and the battery life is insane. I haven’t tested nor will I purposely try to see just how waterproof it is. It’s loud but not as loud as other reviews might have you believe. Used it in the backyard at a little more than half volume and was loud enough to hear in most of the 1/4 acre yard. Overall a quality speaker for a great price. You won’t be disappointed.

I have had one for about a month now and yes it is a good speaker especially with the right equalization. Motion boom has amazingly low bass but does not play very loud and is one of the best speakers you can buy. However the X10 plays loud and has great mids and highs with a more punchy bass rather than boom of the motion boom. I take the X10 out when I don’t want to take my more expensive JBL partbox 2 out and I want to provide music for a small group of friends. Definitely worth the purchase especially at the price being offered now on Amazon. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

This has got to be one of the stupidest things I’ve ever bought. I can’t tell you how it sounds because I can’t charge it before my first use without a 30 watt charger plug. As much as they sell these for, you would think they could include a plug! Nothing included but a charge cable with NO charge plug. S T U P I D !

I bought this as a cheaper version to my JBL. I use my JBL Charge at the park, lake, etc. When I saw this was 70 watts, I was hoping for bigger sound (similar to the JBL Extreme). But the sound is maybe a bit louder than the JBL Charge, but only if you are directly in front of it. The JBL speakers seem to give a more full sound whether you are in from of the speaker or on the side of the speaker. The price of $100 is what makes this a pretty good buy, but for $30 more the JBL Charge is more water proof (you can submerge it while the W-King is only splash proof) and the JBL has a little better sound (louder and fuller) from all areas around the speaker.

Love this new speaker. I want to get another and see how two of them sound together. Sound is great and the build quality is top notch.
My only two complaints is that is doesn’t come with a charger – you’ll need to purchase a 30w USB-C charger (they do provide a cable) and that it’s a pretty heavy unit. I wouldn’t use this as a portable speaker but it’s great in your house.

Sound is great, impressive bass and louder than W king D8.
But they look so good, i cannot take them to the beach having them on sand. D8 was made for that, more rough.
If you want to make them much louder and much better bass and sound quality, use a Equalizer app, like Wavelet.

W-King has done it again! Each time out doing the previous! I love it! I do wish they would increase the number of equalizer settings programmed into the speaker. The two that are programmed already are perfect, but it’s nice to have options. Great speaker for the price! Unbeatable! This is the way to go when needing a speaker on the go. Great size along with the straps to easily carry, and as with all of their speakers, they are even better paired up with a matching mate to impregnate producing beautiful music. Ya dig!!!

Who knew W-king could make such a good speaker? Purchased during prime day for a great price- leas than half the price of a jbl extreme I got last year. Equally loud with punchier bass. Quality materials used. Battery galore. And I can charge my phone while listening to tunes. Every person that hears it comments, what’s that? Sony? Jbl? Bose? No, ignore the odd name. Appreciate the sound.

Bought both the motion boom plus and W-King and all I saw online and on YouTube videos was that the motion boom was better and sounded better and had better bass. But that’s not true, the W-King is better. This is coming from an audiophile who loves speakers and music. This thing is twice as loud as the motion boom and more clear and the bass hits more on almost every single song. Trust me and go for this instead of the motion boom. Do not listen to the YouTube videos. And If you do not believe me order both like I did and test both out hahaha….

This thing is twice as loud as the motion boom and more clear and the bass hits more on almost every single song. Trust me and go for this instead of the motion boom. Do not listen to the YouTube videos. And If you do not believe me order both like I did and test both out hahaha….

Sound is loud, bass is pretty decent for ONLY passive bass speakers / subwoofers. Coming in at around 80 dollars each, one is a decent deal. I grabbed two for the TWS feature. The speakers pair to one another just fine, according to the visual and audio feedback they provide. Where they fail is connecting to any device. You have to time it JUST right, when resetting/restarting your entire device, pairing the two together in TWS mode, THEN mashing the W-KING X10-1 device in your phones pairing menu. I’ve got these to successfully pair to my phone 3 times, out of literally 100 collective restarts between my phone and two speakers. When you use the paperclip reset method, it actually isnt a hard reset, because the speakers remember they were in TWS mode previously, and will automatically hit TWS mode again when power cycled.
Once you FINALLY pair a TWS connected pair to your device, you will not have sound. The pairing worked, and you will be able to control the song next, previous, play, pause, etc- yet you will NOT have sound. I have wasted about four hours trying to get these to work, and after seeing them get into TWS and then pair with my device, yet not giving any sound, I am really bummed.
The D8 I received previously had some issue where it wouldnt even pair until a hard reset, after I switched my bt off and had my friend pair to the speaker with their device. That also wasted a few hours. This company really needs to work on their firmware, verification & validation of hardware, and hire competent coders.
Sigh. This is so frustrating.

I bought this speaker after doing much research on line and on YouTube. My renewed Sony XRS-XB41 died after 3 years. I guess that was a decent life span for the money I paid. The new replacement Sony (XB43) was $250. I didn’t want to pay that much and began my search. I was really amazed at all of the reviews that gave the X-10 the advantage over the JBL and Sony comparable speakers. So, I decided I would try the X10 for about $100 with the Amazon coupon. I can tell you, for the money, this speaker sounds great. I notice little to no difference when compared to my old Sony XB41 that died and also my son-in-law’s JBL. This one has good bass and is very clear. I use it outside by the pool and it does everything I need. I am very pleased. Battery life is very good and it will get very loud if you want without any distortion. I just hope it lasts. I would recommend this speaker to anyone who loves good music and wants to save a few bucks.

Very loud speaker with surprisingly sounding acoustics. I recommend getting 2. They link together without issues and link to your phone with ease. While they don’t come with a charging block the speakers are still a great deal. I was about to spend 1200 on a sound system for my boat. We took these to our local sand bar and placed them on separate boats. The lasted all day and the rest of the afternoon with 75% volume and had plenty of sound for everyone. Everyone was commenting on how great the speakers sounded. I’m sure a few others are looking to purchase them.

Great low end bass, lacks a little upper base. High end is a bit tinny & just missing some clarity. These guys are so close to making a fabulous speaker. If they could mix this sound and the T9 I think they would have it down. None the less, at 1/3 the cost of JBL it’s well worth it. I’ll be watching this company in upcoming years to see if they make the improvements needed.

I purchased 3 speakers, the dbsoars 50 watt, wking d71 and the wking x10. The dbsoars was a great sounding speaker, lighter than both wkings. It does not have the bass of the wkings but it is still punchy in its sound. I am returning the dbsoars. Between the two wkings, the bass is a little deeper on the d7 but not on every song. The x10 has that deep bass but with clearer sounding mids and highs especially at lower volumes. The outside mode sounds much better on the x10. I work where it is quiet so less bass with a great sound at low volumes is important to me. The x10 is about 45 bucks more but you have a 45 hour battery on the x10 compared to 24 hour on d7. The style is a better fit for me on the x10. My friend likes the rectangle style on the d7 so she is buying that one from me and I am keeping the x10. You cannot go wrong with either choice. So I think it comes down to the style, the battery life, whether you want clearer sound at low volumes and maybe a little less bass at full volume then the x10 is definitely worth the extra cash. If you don’t mind a little less clarity at low volumes but a little more thump to the bass and 40 ish dollars less then the d7 is a great choice. Either way you will be pleased. Both come with shoulder straps which I prefer over the solid carry handle.

The audio clips/cuts in and out at high volume. I tried to back down the volume on the unit 4-5 click from max but it didn’t help. In tried different audio apps like Amazon music and YouTube but it still had the effect. I also noticed that when playing bass heavy music in the indoor eq more, the vocals were drowned but the lows. I’m not impressed at all with the wind quality. I guess I’ll have to buy a Bluetooth speaker that has a dedicated subwoofer. I’m returning it and getting a different one.

I have a JBL boombox 2 and had a JBL Xtreme 3. This sounds almost as good as my JBL boombox 2 and definitely outperforms the JBL Xtreme 3. Quality and features seem to be up to par with JBL. Longevity I cannot comment on as I just received it. Overall very pleased with my purchase and value

I ordered this, a JBL Xtreme 2, and a JBL Xtreme 3 to compare the sound and overall feel. I ended up keeping the Xtreme 3. Even though it was substantially more coin, I was looking for best sound in this size category. I will say, I like the sound of the W-King more than I did the Xtreme 2. It really was between the X3 and W-King. Honestly, not even close to the X3, but I still think this is a good value.

The first thing you’ll notice about this bad boy is its size & weight. It’s heavy, which is usually a good indication that the speaker will have decent sound. Speaking of which, the bass is really good for a speaker in the $100 range (I bought it for $89, but it’s since gone up to over $110). The sound is just good as the bass sort of overrides the crisper highs. The midrange is good enough, so the overall sound is above average.
I think the speaker is worth about $100 so if it dips below that price, I would buy it!

Took this to Hollywood Beach with no regrets. Purchased this X10-1 for under $100 which is totally worth the price. Very good bass, mids & highs. Huge battery, great bluetooth range, optional 2 speaker combo capabilities, sturdy strap and IPX6 water & dust resistance. The speaker feels solid in construction while looking expensive & stylish. The bass response is very good the highs are crisp, this speaker hits way above its weight in class and for the money you can’t go wrong. Highly recommended!

W-King sells portable speakers in the cheaper price range. They are imported and the line offers mostly the oblong, bulky type speaker. The newer additions are the T-9 and this X-10. I already have an Alpatronix portable which is similar to the other W-King speakers. I chose the W-10 after checking out comparison videos on the two newer models.
The first issue I’ll look at is the charging. You do not get a charging adaptor in the box with this speaker. The charging cable is a USB-C type which is not the older, common USB type. You may have some USB-C adaptors laying around, maybe not. The thing to keep in mind with this speaker is that it can charge fast if you use a recommended 30w fast charge adaptor. I ordered a 30w fast charge adaptor and will update on charge time. I don’t consider the lack of an adaptor a big negative. Just something to be aware of if you don’t already have one.
The other aspect that might not be well-liked is the shape of the speaker. It’s more or less triangular and large enough that most people are probably not going to be able to carry it on one hand. The manufacturer provides a strap for the top. Looking at it the strap seems durable and the hooks look plenty strong. I would prefer a solid handle but the strap will work. Not a deal breaker for me.
This speaker arrived with two lights lit up for charge level. I played an MP3 as an auxiliary device for just over 10 hours at a lower volume, 3 or 4 clicks up, approximately 30% volume. That used up one light or 1/3 of the total battery capacity. To me, that is impressive! If I play it at full volume the battery will obviously deplete faster, but for my use I think this big battery will last a long time between charges. I’m not a wake up the neighbor stereo guy and use this stereo at night. You could call it light usage.
Another plus in my opinion is the big battery. 15,000Mah. That should provide plenty of playing time at lower to mid volume. It also has a port to charge devices like an MP3 player or phone. With that higher capacity charging time will take longer. I bought a 30 watt fast charger adaptor and it took under 4 hours to fully charge from one light.
Operating this speaker was easy. Long press the power button for auxiliary device connecting. Tap volume buttons. A cool feature that I like a lot is that the controls and back panel are lit up by a white light. This is handy when operating the X-10 at night. No fumbling around for buttons or ports or having to turn on the room light.
Sound Quality is better than I expected at this price! We’re talking about right around $100 for a louder speaker! Is it actually 70 watts? Doubt it. That number is usually exaggerated anyway. But the sound quality was very good. I could hear things in songs that I don’t on other portable speakers. The EQ on these portables is usually a joke with little differences in sound. The X-10 is better in that I can hear a significant change when pushing the EQ button. More bass is my preference and this provides that without making it muddy or overpowering.
The construction of this W-King speaker is also different. It’s the water-proof type material rather than plastic. It has a rubber-type material on the bottom that should be slide or slip proof.
Another feature I like is the cables. You get a charge cable and an auxiliary cable. They are both braided quality cables.
I think the X-10 is a great buy! If you order it you may want to order a charge adaptor for it for fast charging the battery. At the current price this speaker is well worth it and fast becoming my favorite portable speaker.

This thing is beautifulЌ So loud, crisp, and clear no matter where you’re choosing to bump it! The bass is solidly felt, the treble has a nice range, and it’s ultra portable with the shoulder strap and clip on areas!! Feelz natural chilling on the side of ya. It’s battery life lasts at least 10 hours on half volume, maybe even more! Completely worth the investment. It’s every bit as loud as it says!
This thing has gotten the cops called multiple times”рџ‚рџ”

It’s actually made in the same likeness and size of the JBL Extreme. The sound quality and loudness is basically just as good for a fraction of the price, so that is a win so far. All my JBL speakers eventually develope a speaker rattle, so only time will tell if this speaker does NOT develope that same rattle. I will update if it does. It has an EQ button on the unit. So you can cycle through a what sounds like 3 different settings to increase/reduce trebble/bass to get a sound you are comfortable with or/also use the EQ on any app that you may have on your phone or connected device. Other controls in plain sight are power, volume down/track back, play, volume up/track forward.
It comes with a nice shoulder strap that’s sturdy and is easily connected/disconnected, which comes in handy because it has a bit of weight to it, that to me, is not a drawback because it feels rugged and sturdy. It sits on a small rubber coated oblong pedestal, which provides a good base of protection for it wherever you set it. There’s 3 connections available in rear for USB connecting, auxiliary 3.5mm audio jack, type-C charging, and micro SD card input. These connections are housed behind a thick rubber door flap that’s supposed to be waterproof. I did not test the waterproofness of this unit and don’t intend to. This system has a rechargeable internal battery. On one charge (as new) I have played this unit about 8-9 hours on high. I played it 3 hours a day for three separate days on one charge, and it still had charge. I only charged it because I knew I had not charged it in a while. So I’m not sure exactly how long a full charge might actually play.
The biggest drawback is the useless double ended type-c charging cable, that this comes with. And it doesn’t even come with the wall outlet plug to plug the type-c cable into at the wall. I don’t even know where they expected me to plug this to charge it. Into another item that is also type-c???? Luckily I have a couple of type-c cables AND WALL CHARGER so I was able to just plug it up myself.
But
BE WARNED, THIS DOES NOT COME WITH A WALL CHARGER. IT ONLY COMES WITH A DOUBLE ENDED TYPE-C CABLE. HAVE YOUR OWN WALL CHARGER OR TYPE-C TO USB CABLE.
And for that I’m taking off 2 whole stars because no matter how good the speaker is, its only a paperweight if the buyer can’t charge it.

I have taken good care of this speaker since it arrived. One day we go to use it by the pool and it sounds like the speakers blew up. Just terrible sound. It made it just one month and enough to not be able to return it for a new one. This thing was kicking every speaker I’ve had in the rear till now. Hope the warranty is legit!!! Hope this review helps.
